Oh Hey

I am Jami

I am a mumma of two wildly freespirited girls who fill my life with so much love and joy but are also my biggest teachers and test my patients on the daily. We are a cloth nappy, baby wearing, contact parenting kind of family. But we also have days where we use disposables, I raise my voice a little too loud and we eat plain pasta for dinner.

My love for photography and birth came from the birth of my two daughters. The images from Thea's birth (my eldest daughter) really changed the way I allowed others to make me feel about my body. I mean how incredible it was to be able to see me, my body bringing new life into this world. It really showed me the power and strength I had within me. I didn't look at those pictures and think about my rolls and jiggly bits, the stretch marks or the weird faces I was pulling, I saw real and raw beauty, something I hadn't allowed myself to see.

I want to help you see just how beautiful the real and raw you can really be, the small moments, the simplicity, the smile that shows your double chin but also shows oh so much joy and the stripes and scars that tell a story of how you become the incredible goddess you are today.

I want to be a safe place for you to unravel, for you to open up and see that all those things your felt you had to hide about yourself or your body are so incredibly beautiful and powerful. I want you to feel truly seen and witnessed as you navigate through this journey of womanhood.

I wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we live and work on, the Whadjuk Nyoongar (Perth region) people. I wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
